Yes. Unless you tell us not to, we’ll automatically renew your annual multi-trip policy when it’s due to expire, using the payment details you provided.
What happens at renewal
- Automatic renewal: We’ll renew your policy on its expiry date so you can carry on for another 12 months, unless you’ve opted out.
- Using your card details: We’ll use the card details you gave us to take the renewal premium (your details are held securely by our payment provider).
- Permission to take future payments: When you take out the policy, you’re giving permission for us to take payment at the time of your automatic renewal. It cannot be used to pay for changes to an existing policy.
Before your policy expires
- Reminder and renewal quote: We’ll send you a reminder and your renewal quote before your policy is due to expire, so you can review it.
- Keeping your details up to date: You can update your details, make changes to your policy, or cancel auto-renewal at any time before your renewal date.
- UK residency: You must be a UK resident at the time of renewal.
Please note: If you ask to stop automatic renewal within 5 days of expiry, we may not be able to do so. However, you will still have a 14-day cooling-off period.
If we can’t renew using your card details
- If payment doesn’t go through: If we’re not able to automatically renew your policy using the card details provided, you'll receive communication for the attempted payment.
- You'll have 7 days from the date of expiry to contact us and complete the payment.
Please note that you will not be covered until the payment has been successfully processed. - Your options: You can choose to make a payment with an alternative payment card, make changes to your policy, or cancel the auto-renewal before the renewal date.
Important:
Single Trips do not renew.
Your Single Trip Policy will expire upon return to the UK or the end date shown on your Policy schedule whichever is sooner.
