What does fit to travel mean?

  • Updated

“Fit to travel” means that, considering your general state of health and any pre-existing medical conditions, you (and your medical practitioner, if consulted) would reasonably expect you to be well enough to complete your trip without needing medical assistance or treatment.

Consider the following when thinking about if you're fit to travel:

  • Where you’re going
  • How long you’ll be there
  • Any sporting or adventure activities you plan to do
  • The method of travel you will use

This information is for general guidance and does not constitute medical advice.
