Can I move the start date of my annual Policy?

If your policy has already started, the start date can’t be changed.

If your policy is due to start in the future, you can request to move the start date up to 60 days from the original purchase date.

What you need to know

  • Once your policy has begun, the start date can’t be changed.
  • If your start date is in the future, you can move it within 60 days of when you bought the policy.
  • Any change may affect your cover or price, check your updated documents.

Policy breakdown

Silver:

  • Cover can’t begin after you’ve left your home country, so the start date can’t be moved to cover a trip that has already started.

Gold, Gold Plus and Platinum:

  • Cover (other than cancellation) only applies if your outward and return journeys take place within the start and end dates shown on your policy schedule.
  • If your trip began before your policy started, cover may not apply to that trip.
