Can I travel independently on a joint Policy (Couple/Family/Group policies)?

  • Updated

It depends.

Each insured person named on the policy can travel separately, but each trip must fit the cover shown on your schedule.

Single trips: The insured person(s) must travel on the same dates to the same countries (not region) listed in your policy schedule

Annual multi-trips: The insured person(s) must travel to the same region (not country)

Travelling separately

  • You do not need to travel together.
  • Each insured person named on the policy can travel on their own, including at the same time as someone else on the policy.

Age to travel independently

  • You must be 18 or over to purchase an AllClear policy and travel independently.

Children on the policy

  • Children are only covered if they are travelling with an insured adult and are named on the same policy.

Each trip must fit your cover

  • Destination region: Each traveller must have the applicable destination region on their policy for the places they are travelling to.
  • Also check your maximum trip length and any activities you plan to do.

Medical information

  • Make sure each traveller’s preexisting medical conditions have been declared and accepted, where needed.
