Do you cover mental health conditions?

  • Updated

Yes, mental health conditions can be covered.

What we’ll need from you:

  • The name of the condition.
  • Answers to medical screening questions, including whether (in the last two years) you’ve taken prescribed medication or had medical treatment or advice (including at a hospital, clinic, GP surgery or via remote consultation), or been offered palliative care.
  • Whether you’ve been placed on a waiting list that could cause you to cancel or cut short your trip.
  • Whether you’ve been advised of a terminal illness.

Important to know

  • We cannot cover undiagnosed conditions.
  • If you do not provide full and accurate information when you take out the policy, or when circumstances change, your cover could be invalid, and any claim may be rejected.
  • Some situations are not covered, including suicide or attempted suicide, and being compulsorily detained as a psychiatric patient in certain circumstances.
