Yes, you can renew your policy whilst you are abroad.
If your previous policy has already expired, renewing it won’t cover the trip you’re currently on.
If your policy has not yet expired (or it’s set to automatically renew with no break in cover), you may still be covered for your current trip, as long as you meet the policy terms.
