Please call the emergency helpline for emergencies while abroad. Make sure you call this number before you start any medical intervention or assistance so we can provide the right support.

What you should know

When to call: 

If you have a medical emergency whilst abroad.

Important: 

If you’re admitted to hospital, or your outpatient treatment is likely to cost more than £350, call as soon as possible.

Who you’ll speak to: 

The emergency assistance team (Zurich Assist) can arrange medical help based on your needs.

Have ready:

Your name, policy number and contact details.

If it’s not an emergency: You can usually pay for simple outpatient treatment locally and claim when you return (keep receipts/invoices).


For non-emergency claims:

To discuss an existing claim, our claims handler Gallagher Bassett, can be contacted on 0800 011 3135 (Monday – Friday, 9 am – 5:30 pm, excluding bank holidays).
