- Inner tubing in snow

- Husky sledging, either as a driver or passenger

These activity names should be read individually. Cover for one listed activity does not automatically include another activity that appears similar.
Activities that are not listed are not covered under the Winter Sports add-on.
Additional Winter Sports benefits
Ski equipment
Cover can apply if your own or hired ski equipment is lost, stolen or damaged.
Additional benefits can include:
- Lift pass: Up to £500 for the unused portion of a lift pass that is lost or stolen
- Replacement ski hire: £10 per day, up to £150, if you need to hire replacement equipment following the accidental loss, theft or damage of your own ski equipment
Delayed ski equipment
You may be able to claim up to £150 if your ski equipment is delayed for at least 12 hours during your outward journey.
Ski pack
You may be able to claim up to £400 for the unused portion of prepaid ski-pack costs if:
- A medical practitioner at the resort confirms that a serious illness or injury means you cannot ski or use the facilities during your trip; and
- You cannot obtain a refund
Piste closure
Cover can apply during the following periods:
- Northern Hemisphere: 1 December to 15 April
- Southern Hemisphere: 1 May to 30 September
The policy can pay £35 per day, up to £350, towards the cost of travelling to another resort when the relevant conditions are met.
How long does Winter Sports cover apply?
Single-trip policies
If you have added Winter Sports cover, it can apply for the whole insured trip.
Annual multi-trip policies
- Winter Sports cover applies for up to 17 days of winter sports activity in total during the policy year.
- The add-on must be shown on your policy schedule.
