How you make a claim depends on whether it’s a medical emergency or any other type of claim. Emergency medical claims must be reported straight away; other claims can be submitted after you return home and within 30 days.
Medical emergency abroad (urgent)
- If you have a serious medical issue while abroad, you must contact AllClear’s emergency assistance team through our Zurich Assist emergency helpline as soon as possible.
- Call the 24-hour emergency assistance team straight away on +44 (0) 203 467 4122. They can help arrange treatment, hospital care and support.
- You should call especially if you’re admitted to hospital or treatment is likely to cost more than £350.
- If it’s safe to do so, have your policy number ready when you call.
Non-emergency claims (after you return home)
These are claims that don’t need immediate medical help and are handled by Gallagher Bassett from the link here.
When to notify and submit
You must notify AllClear within 30 days of your trip ending about any incident that may lead to a claim.
- Once you have gathered all the documents related to your claim, you can start your claim on the Gallagher Bassett website where you will be asked to create an account and then log your claim.

If you’d like to make a claim or speak to the claims team by phone, call Gallagher Bassett on 0800 011 3135 (Mon–Fri, 9am–5:30pm, excluding bank holidays).
Existing claims
Call 0800 011 3135, then:
Choose option 1 if your claim reference begins with “ZUR”
Choose option 2 if your claim reference begins with “2”

Response time once submitted
Once all documents are provided, you should hear back within 3–5 days of submitting your claim.
