Can I get cruise cover if I have medical conditions?

  • Updated

Having preexisting medical conditions doesn’t stop you taking a policy that covers cruise trips.  Cruises are  covered  as standard on Platinum, or Gold Plus if you’ve paid the additional Cruise premium. Medical-related cover depends on what you’ve declared and we’ve accepted with your Cruise cover attached to your policy.

Policy eligibility:

  • Silver/Gold: cruises aren’t covered.
  • Gold Plus: cruise trips are covered only if you’ve paid the additional Cruise premium.
  • Platinum: cruise trips are covered.

If you have an eligible policy:

  • Declare all preexisting medical conditions: we cover claims related to conditions you disclosed and we accepted in writing.
  • Undeclared conditions aren’t covered: claims linked to conditions you didn’t disclose (and we didn’t accept in writing) aren’t covered.
  • You must answer accurately: your policy and quote are based on the answers you provide, and incorrect information could affect a claim.
  • Check your schedule: Cruise Cover (and other paid upgrades) must be on your policy schedule—except Cruise Cover is included with Platinum as standard.
