What questions will you ask me about my medical conditions?

  • Updated

The medical conditions you have will determine what questions we ask, and you’ll need to answer all relevant questions fully and accurately for cover to apply.

What you can expect to be asked

  • Medication, treatment or advice you’ve had (including appointments at a hospital, clinic or GP surgery, or remote consultations) within the last two years
  • Whether you’ve received or been offered palliative care
  • Whether you’re on a waiting list for investigations or treatment that could cause you to cancel or cut short your trip
  • Whether you’ve been advised of a terminal illness

You must also inform us if there is a change in state of health before travel, including if you:

  • Develop a new medical condition.
  • Experience a change to an existing medical condition.
  • Have a change in medication.

Why this matters

Your cover is based on the information you provide, so you need to take reasonable care to answer questions honestly and accurately (and say if you don’t understand a question or don’t know the answer).

Undiagnosed conditions are not covered.
