What is covered with Golf cover?

  • Updated

Golf cover (an optional add-on on Gold, Gold Plus and Platinum) may cover lost, stolen or damaged golf equipment, unused green fees if you can’t play due to illness or injury during your trip, and a hole-in-one benefit.

Add-on requirement: Golf cover only applies if you’ve paid the extra premium and it’s listed on your policy schedule (Silver doesn’t cover loss or damage to belongings).

What’s covered:

  • Golf equipment (loss/damage/theft): Up to £750, with a £250 single article/pair/set limit (with allowances for wear, tear and depreciation).
  • Hiring replacement equipment: Up to £75 per day, to a maximum of £375.
  • Unused green fees: Up to £75 per day, to a maximum of £375, if you can’t play due to illness or injury during the trip, you can’t get a refund, and you have medical certification.
  • Hole-in-one benefit: £100

Policy differences:
Gold and Gold Plus have a £75 excess for golf equipment loss/damage/theft and replacement hire; Platinum has no excess for those. Unused green fees and the hole-in-one benefit have no excess. For more on Excess, see here
